Charly began writing the 30 Dates Blog in July 2013. What began as a simple Facebook challenge, to remind herself how fun dating could be, after she was messed around by a guy, has developed into one of the UK’s most popular dating blogs.
The blog began life as an account of the 30 Blind Dates which Charly went on before her 30th birthday.
In the two years Charly wrote ’30 Dates’, it won numerous awards, and led to Charly creating a career in the dating industry. She went on to write for the Guardian and Time Out. Charly’s writing and advice has now appeared in most national newspapers and magazines. Charly has been teaching blogging at The Guardian since 2015.
Charly’s success as a blogger has also led to her role as Head Judge at the UK Blog Awards, chairing a panel of 40 expert judges. Charly was on the judging panel for the Awards in 2016 and 2017, and stood down after the company changed hands.
